Inclusive Hiking

Mountains for All: Embracing Inclusion in Mountains and Outdoor Activities

Outdoor spaces are often seen as open and neutral—but they are not always equally accessible, welcoming, or safe for everyone.Barriers—both visible and invisible—can prevent individuals and communities from participating in and connecting with these landscapes. This publication was produced in the frame of the Via Alpina Youth project, which disseminates knowledge, ideas and opportunities for sustainable lifestyles, inclusion, environmental protection, wild camping and climate change along the Via Alpina hiking trail. It was co-founded by the European union’s ERASMUS+ programme and MOVETIA.
