ON A MOUNTAIN BIKE FROM ARROSCIA VALLEY TO ROYA VALLEY

1st day: arrival early in the morning at Mendatica farm guesthouse, accommodation and meeting with the guide to see the programme. At 10, departure guided tour on mountain bike along route 2 C – Tour of the Forts – of network “Alps of the Sea on bike” with ascent to S. Bernardo di Mendatica and along the dirt country road up to Garezzo pass (1,770 metres high); continuation towards Bassa di Sanson (1,700 metres high) and descent into French territori along the track crossing the woody slope up to N.D. des Fontaines with break for a packed lunch. At 2.30, resumption of the guided hike on mountain bike towards the valley bottom hamlets of La Brigue and Tenda, then ascent of the right-hand side of Roya Valley and arrival at the refuge or hotel in Casterino by 4; shower and bike washing; dinner and overnight stay in refuge or hotel.

2nd day: breakfast at the refuge or hotel; at 9, departure tour on mountain bike along the magnificent natural setting of Ligurian Alps, studded with majestic military fortresses: ; typical “white cuisine” dinner, overnight stay in farm guesthouse.

3rd day: breakfast, departure.Bassa di Peirafico – Colle di Tenda –Colle della Boaria – Colle dei Signori. At 1, packed lunch; at 2, resumption of the tour on mountain bike towards Monesi and S. Bernardo di Mendatica; arrival at the farm guesthouse in Mendatica by 5; shower and bike washing
