R155 Colle di Nava » San Bernardo di Mendatica
  |   2h45   |   9.5 km   |   480 m   |   163 m

The trail follows the route of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, along the watershed ridge between the Arroscia and Tanaro valleys. The stage proceeds mostly along trails and dirt tracks through conifer woods. Still there are areas of open ground affording beautiful views, particularly over the Arroscia Valley to the sea. It is also possible to simply follow the provincial road. It goes up and down less but is a duller route. This leg is practicable by mountain bike, too from Colle di Nava to San Bernardo di Mendatica.

Albergo San Bernardo is closed this summer (2023). Alternatives: rifugio Ca' da Cardella in Mendatica, rifugio Terza. next to rif San Remo, or hotel dolceMente in Piaggia.
