Call for projects: 2nd edition of the Via Alpina Travel Fellowships

Thanks to the partnership with the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention and the Via Alpina Secretariat of the Principality of Monaco, Via Alpina is offering four new Travel Fellowships to original projects to be carried out on or around the trails in the summer 2012. This year one fellowship is especially earmarked for a project realised by or for children or young people under 18 years.

The call for applications is now open, until 15 November. Read all details in the dedicated section of our website: www.via-alpina/fellowships. We are looking forward to receiving many exciting proposals again!

In the meanwhile the 2011 Fellowships are nearing their conclusion. Both the projects of the Talander School and FFME have been successfully concluded. Romain Liagre – the Via Alpina geophotographer – has stopped for this year but will come back to the trails next summer to finish his inventory, since he had to take professional breaks from the trip. Unfortunately Elisabeth Gsottbauer has had to cancel her “Eyewitness” project for personal reasons – the price becomes therefore available for the 4th fellowship next year. Watch this space for the release of the first movies in the autumn!
