4 laureates for the 1st Via Alpina Travel Fellowships

The impact of climate change along the Via Alpina, the education of youth with social difficulties through hiking, and a geophotographical inventory of the Red Trail: these are the themes of the three projects selected for the Via Alpina Travel Fellowships 2011 awarded by the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention, the Via Alpina Secretariat of the Principality of Monaco and the international Via Alpina network.

A special mention of the jury too for the project of a relay crossing developed by the French Mountain and Climbing Federation.

Choosing about some 14 high-quality applications was not easy. Discover here the details of the projects by Elisabeth Gsottbauer, Berthold Brommer with Andrea Nenning and their 6th-grade class of the Talander special needs school, Romain Liagre and FFME, as well as the summaries of the other candidate projects.

We will relay on this website the progress of each of the projects and will present you in the autumn the movies realised!

Many thanks to all applicants and watch this space for the launch of the 2012 issue, scheduled for this spring already!
